Experience the beautiful Puget Sound on this tour of its iconic sites. We get the best of Seattle, Vancouver, Victoria and San Juan Island. Traveling by coach and ferry, we are captivated by seaports, formal gardens, Victorian architecture, burgeoning cities, and peaceful gardens, all while traversing beautiful waters.
Included meals are denoted: Breakfast: B, Lunch: L, Dinner: D
We fly to Seattle and head immediately for Seattle Center and its most iconic sight – the Seattle Space Needle. Originally built for the 1962 World’s Fair, the needle rises 605’ and offers a 360-degree indoor and outdoor panoramic view of the city. Next to the Needle is the Chihuly Garden and Glass with its stunning blown glasswork and installations by Dale Chihuly. We enjoy lunch on our own at the Center’s Armory before we transfer to our hotel at the Tulalip Resort.
DAY 2 B,D
We cross the Canadian border to Vancouver and enjoy a city tour. After checking into our beautiful hotel, the Rosedale on Robson, for one night, we embark on our fun and fabulous dinner – a Foodie Tour across Vancouver.
DAY 3 B, Tea
Our first ferry ride takes us to Victoria on Vancouver Island and British Columbia’s capital. Afternoon tea awaits us with a delicious selection of treats, both sweet and savory. Then we’ll tour the city before checking into the luxurious harborside Hotel Grand Pacific, our home for two nights.
DAY 4 B
This morning is dedicated to exploring and enjoying Butchart Gardens. The Gardens’ vast array of over 900 different plants and 26 greenhouses means there is something beautiful to see regardless of season. Begun in 1912, the Gardens include a Japanese Garden, a Sunken Garden a pond, a carousel and acres of lush greenery. Our afternoon is free to explore more of Victoria’s quaint old British buildings and wonderful shopping.
DAY 5 B
We tour the magnificent Parliament Building before returning to the ferry. We sail to Friday Harbor, a charming, historic, walkable seaport on San Juan Island. Our island tour shows us Whale Watch Park, English Camp, Sculpture Park and many more one-of-a-kind sights. We lodge tonight at the Friday Harbor Suites.
DAY 6 B
It’s time for our thoughts to turn toward home, but first we’ll enjoy one last ferry ride and more of Seattle. The Boeing Future of Flight Museum gives us an insider’s look at the Boeing Factory and a number of interactive exhibits. After a stop at Pike Place Market for lunch, fabulous flowers and the flying fish, we head to the airport for our non-stop flight to Albuquerque.
