Day 1 - Harvey House Musuem
Kick off your journey with motorcoach pickups from Meadowlark Senior Center and the Sun Tours Office. Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Harvey House Museum in Belen, learning about the railroad’s impact on the local community. Continue through New Mexico’s stunning landscapes to a delightful lunch. Conclude your day at the Inn of the Mountain Gods, nestled in the Sierra Blanca mountains, with an evening to explore or unwind at your own pace.

Day 2 - Fort Stanton & Spencer Theater
Begin day two with a hearty breakfast at the inn, preparing for a historical exploration at Fort Stanton Historic Site. Wander through centuries-old buildings and soak in the stories of yesteryears.
Next, enjoy free time in the quaint town of Ruidoso, indulging in independent time to try local cuisine or go shopping. After a leisurely afternoon, we return to the inn to freshen up before an evening of culture and cuisine at Spencer Theater. Relish a delicious buffet dinner and get ready for the captivating “Forever Young” show, a musical extravaganza. Forever Young follows one unforgettable group of friends as they discover the greatest hits of all time! Set in a music-filled suburban basement, this unbelievable heartfelt true story is guaranteed to take you back to the first time you pushed play, tuned in, and set the needle down.

Day 3 - Hurd La Rinconada Gallery & Home
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the inn before exploring the stunning art at Hurd La Rinconada Gallery. Savor a tasty lunch at Tinnie Silver Dollar. We’ll begin our journey back home with comfort stops along the way, reflecting on the historical and cultural experiences we’ve had on our New Mexico tour.

Level 2: Relaxed
Expectations: This tour requires light physical activity combined with shorter travel days. Tour members should expect intermittent walking, with occasional slight inclines and stair climbs, including boarding the motorcoach. Activities may include an occasional city or nature walking tour, stopping along the way. Guests should be able to climb a set of stairs, walk up or down slight slopes and navigate some uneven terrain or cobblestone.
Appropriate for: Travelers who are somewhat physically fit and comfortable with longer days of touring (both walking tours and coach time).
ITINERARY
For your reference, we send to you a detailed itinerary approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the scheduled tour departure. This has day-by-day times and events, hotel information where you can be reached in case of an emergency, and airline information.
The times listed on the itinerary are all approximate. We cannot be held responsible for schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances with the weather, transportation agents, highway conditions, hotels or contracting agents.
EMERGENCY CONTACT
It is always a good idea to carry on your person a list of medications that you are taking and an emergency contact phone number while you are traveling. And we suggest making a copy of the itinerary and provide it to a friend or family member.
GRATUITIES/ITEMS INCLUDED IN PRICE
The traditional end-of-tour gratuity to your tour director is included on this tour. All hotel porterage and airport skycap (when available) fees are included. We also include the gratuities for the coach drivers. Hotel housekeeping tips are not included.
LODGING REQUESTS
If you would like to request special accommodations at the hotel(s) where we are lodging, please call us as soon as possible and we will forward these requests for you. The phone numbers of the hotel(s) where we are staying are listed on the itinerary.
Many hotels around the country have instituted a "reconditioning fee" of $300 or more that is levied upon a guest that smokes in a non-smoking room. If this occurs during our tour you will be responsible for paying this fee to the hotel prior to check-out.

WEATHER AND CLOTHING/MISC. SUGGESTIONS
Temperature: Daytime temperatures in March can vary significantly. Highs typically range from 50°F to 60°F (10°C to 15°C). However, it's important to note that temperatures can sometimes be cooler, especially in early March.
Nighttime Temperatures: Nights are cooler, and temperatures can drop to around 20°F to 30°F (-6°C to -1°C). Be prepared for cold nights.
Sunshine: Ruidoso enjoys a good amount of sunshine, even in March. You can expect a mix of sunny and cloudy days.
Clothing: It's best to dress in layers for your comfort. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking.
