What was the Roswell Incident?
In July 1947, a rancher named W.W. "Mac" Brazel found mysterious debris on his property near Roswell, which included metallic rods, chunks of plastic, and unusual, papery scraps.
The Pecos River is approximately 926 miles (1,490 kilometers) long. It originates in the northern part of New Mexico, near the town of Pecos, and flows into Texas, eventually emptying into the Rio Grande near Del Rio.
The park encompasses over 46,766 acres (18,926 hectares) and includes more than 119 known caves. The Big Room, the park's most famous chamber, is one of the largest natural limestone chambers in the world, measuring about 4,000 feet (1,220 meters) long, 625 feet (191 meters) wide, and 255 feet (78 meters) high.
