DAY 1              D

After our nonstop flight to Phoenix, we board our comfy coach and head to the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens. Stroll through any or all five of the trails at the garden, experiencing the unique and beautiful plants that thrive in some of the hottest and driest parts of the world. After lunch on our own, we enjoy a city tour of Phoenix before arriving at our home for 3 nights the Drury Inn and Suites. After time at our hotel to freshen up, we enjoy a welcome dinner at Rustler’s Rooste

DAY 2              B

After breakfast, we drive to Taliesin West, the winter home and studio of architectural legend Frank Lloyd Wright. Here, a guide gives us an overview of Wright’s basic theories of design as we see his Cabaret Theater, Music Pavilion, and private office. In his famous living room, we sit in Wright-designed furniture and experience being a guest in his home. Then it’s on to the unique Musical Instrument Museum, which displays over 6,800 instruments collected from nearly 200 countries and territories. MIM invites all guests to play instruments from around the world in the Experience Gallery. Additionally, there are instruments on display from icons such as Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Leonard Bernstein. Afterwards, we’ll arrive at the Phoenix Zoo for “Zoo Lights.” With its 4 million lights and 700 displays, Zoo Lights is sure to delight every viewer.

DAY 3              B

The Tempe Festival of the Arts is a well-loved community event that showcases art, live entertainment, food, and beverage. Hundreds of artists from across North America will present unique, hand-made arts and crafts that offer visitors a distinctive shopping experience. Ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metalwork, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture in more than 300 artist booths will fill the streets of Downtown Tempe. There are also street entertainers, henna artists, musicians, magicians, and caricaturists throughout the festival. Hungry? There’s a food court, food trucks, snack vendors, and a “Sweet Street” to satisfy all kinds of gastronomic cravings.

DAY 4              B

A truly colorful day lies ahead, beginning with Butterfly Wonderland, America’s largest butterfly and indoor rainforest conservatory. More than 3,000 butterflies from around the world flutter among the lush tropical plants and flowers, landing for just long enough to capture the perfect photograph. It's almost time to head to the airport but we have time for a visit to the Heard Museum, with its wonderful collections of Native American art. We head back to the Phoenix airport for our quick flight home, with fond memories of all the fun we had in Phoenix and Tempe.

Itinerary subject to change.
