Spots in next season's top tier were on the line as Carlow took on Kerry and Carlow hosted Carlow in semi-finals of Division Two of the Allianz Football League.


Carlow got here after a wide-margin victory over Kerry saw them finish top of the South section of the division.


They faced familiar rivals in Kerry, whose loss to Carlow consigned them to second place in the North section.


These counties met in the semi-finals of last year's Leinster Championship when Kerry scored five goals to win by nine points. The bookies make this a tight one to call.
