The Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets are set to square off in an Atlantic Division matchup at 7 p.m. ET April 25 at Barclays Center. The Celtics will be strutting in after a win while Brooklyn will be stumbling in from a loss.
Boston is hoping for another victory. They managed a 109-103 win over Brooklyn this past Saturday. Boston's small forward Jayson Tatum looked sharp as he had 39 points and six assists along with six steals and five boards.
Boston is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Detroit Pistons Feb. 16 easily too and instead slipped up with a 112-111. In other words, don't count the Nets out just yet.
The point spread is against the Boston Celtics, but thus far the points are on their side. Sitting on a score of 81-72, they have looked like the better team out there today, but there's still one more quarter to play.
Small forward Jayson Tatum has led the way so far for Boston, as he has 25 points and four assists in addition to five steals. The Brooklyn Nets have been relying on small forward Bruce Brown, who has 23 points along with six rebounds, and center Nicolas Claxton, who has 13 points along with seven boards. Brown does need to be careful, however, as he is in foul trouble with four.
The Boston Celtics took care of business on the road in Game 3 against the Brooklyn Nets to take a 3-0 lead in their first-round series, and are now just one win away from a surprising sweep. This was the most anticipated matchup of the opening round, and could also be over the quickest.
Heading into Game 4, the onus is on the Nets, who will once again be without Ben Simmons. He was expected to make his season debut, but further back soreness has ruled him out of the game. With no reinforcements arriving, will the Nets have a response on Monday? Or will they pack things in and turn their attention to next season
