Once New Mexico’s largest city, Las Vegas is an under-appreciated gem. It has a large collection of historic Victorian homes which we will tour. We'll enjoy one night in Las Vegas, tour the newly renovated Casteneda Hotel, and explore New Mexico's history.
Traveling for 64-miles between Chama, NM and Antonito, CO, the Cumbres & Toltec is the longest and highest steam railroad in the nation and the most scenic, crossing the border of Colorado and New Mexico 11 times as it chugs its way up and over 10,015-foot-high Cumbres Pass. A scenic and fascinating trip into another century.
