Health, Security and Safety Protocols

What you need to know about upcoming SUN TOURS travel - UPDATED January 18, 2022

We at Sun Tours recognize and share the concerns of all our travelers. We consider the safety and security of our passengers and staff members as paramount and would not knowingly place anyone in danger on any of our tours or cruises.

We continue to stay up-to-date and are following the advice of our ground operators and government travel and health organizations as we continue to monitor the feasibility for our other tours and cruises. If you are booked on a postponed, rescheduled, or canceled tour or cruise, we will be in touch with you as soon as we have more details. We appreciate your patience during these challenging times.

SUN TOURS has put into place the following health and safety protocols to keep you safe while you travel with us.  We ask for your help in maintaining a healthy environment for your fellow travelers, SUN TOURS staff and the staff of our attractions, restaurants, and hotels. We are stronger TOGETHER!

For your protection, SUN TOURS has established these protocols:

  • All travelers must be fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus. Please provide SUN TOURS a copy of your COVID vaccination record by one of the following methods:

    1. Online at www.suntoursus.com, click Plan Your Trip and then Submit Proof of Vaccination.

    2. Text a photo to (505) 582-2360 (Client Services direct number)

    3. By email to service@suntoursus.com

    4. By mail or hand deliver to our office at 1700 Louisiana NE, Suite 100, Albuquerque NM 87110.

  • Because many of our destinations also have vaccination requirements (museums, restaurants, attractions, etc.), all travelers must also carry proof with them to show as needed. Additionally, some destinations may have additional requirements such as vaccinations or booster shots within a certain time period prior to arrival, and/or negative test results using pre-approved test types and/or providers.

  • Your final vaccine dose must have been administered a minimum of 15 days prior to the start of the trip. 

    • If you haven't already done so, you can now register with NM Dept. of Health at https://cvvaccine.nmhealth.org/ and complete the online form.  

These requirements should not only provide an extra layer of confidence to our travelers but will offer them the most seamless and enjoyable travel experience.  We will continue to monitor local requirements and update our policies accordingly.

Additionally:

  • We have hand sanitizer available for use upon entry to the motorcoach and as needed throughout the tour.

  • Rigorous motorcoach cleaning protocols are in place including deep cleaning each night and high-touch surface cleaning throughout the day.

  • We make sure that each attraction and hotel visited on the tour has satisfactory health and safety protocols in place.

  • We use our state-of-the-art SUN TOURS SOUND system for social distancing while listening to tour directors and guides (on selected tours).

  • We have established procedures for isolating travelers who become ill while in tour.

For your protection, SUN TOURS has these requirements for travelers:

  • Do not travel if you are ill or have been exposed to COVID.

  • Always wear a face mask when requested by the attraction or by your Tour Director. Please bring your own masks.  CURRENTLY - we are recommending the wearing of face masks, in light of new variants.

  • Follow guidelines and instructions of your Tour Director, Escort or Driver.

  • Maintain social distance as practical.

  • Use the SUN TOURS SOUND system to enjoy the Tour Director or guides while maintaining social distances. (You can use your own earpiece, or we will provide one.)

  • Let your Tour Director know immediately if you feel unwell.
