This highly independent and active tour allows our group to see 2 of the biggest hits on Broadway. We’ll be on our own every day, with Hop-on, Hop-Off bus passes that cruise the city and include multiple attractions. Escorted by knowledgeable NYC enthusiasts and Sun Tours owners, Frank Fine and Leslee Richards, this tour is for those who want more theater and more free time in New York City.

Included meals are denoted: Breakfast: B, Lunch: L, Dinner: D

DAY 1                                                                                                                                                           We depart the Albuquerque Sun Port and fly across country, arriving in New York and transferring to our hotel, The Millennium, conveniently located just off Times Square.

DAY 2              B

After a full included breakfast at our hotel, our escorts will take us to the Hop-on, Hop-off bus stop near hotel. Then we’re on our own for the day, visiting wherever we choose. (See list of included bus stops in box.) This evening, we enjoy Hamilton.

This morning, we can choose where and when to breakfast, then join our Hop-On, Hop-Off bus again. Maybe we’ll see Brooklyn or the Statue of Liberty – it’s up to us! This evening, we see Harper Lee’s beloved To Kill A Mockingbird on stage.

We check out of hotel and realize it’s our final day in the Big Apple and there is still so much to see and do. Have we visited Central Park or Macy’s at Harold Square? We jump on our now familiar Hop-On-Hop-Off, packing every minute full of fun, before we must head to the airport for our return home, our heads and hearts full of NYC.

Winner of 11 Tony Awards

Written by Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton is a true landmark of American culture, tearing up the musical theatre rulebook with a score that is equal parts Sondheim and Notorious B.I.G., and a cast of ethnically diverse actors in the roles of the Founding Fathers. Inspired by Ron Chernow’s book, Alexander Hamilton.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Harper Lee’s classic novel has been adapted for the stage by Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin (West Wing, The Social Network, Molly’s Game). To Kill a Mockingbird features one of literature’s towering symbols of integrity and righteousness in the character of Atticus Finch, based on Lee’s own father. The character of Scout, based on Lee herself, has come to define youthful innocence—and its inevitable loss—for generation after generation around the world.
