Included meals are denoted: Breakfast: B, Lunch: L, Dinner: D

DAY 1

We depart the Albuquerque Sunport and fly to Athens to lodge two nights.

DAY 2              D

We arrive in the early morning and transfer to our hotel in Athens. The rest of the day is ours to explore this fascinating ancient city. This evening we enjoy a welcome dinner together.

DAY 3              B

It’s no doubt that one of the highlights of Athens is The Parthenon, standing tall on its perch atop the Acropolis overlooking the city. During this morning’s city tour, we’ll enjoy a guided visit at this UNESCO World Heritage Site and its Museum filled with art, sculpture and historical pieces dating from the Mycenaean period. Classical sculptures and artifacts of life in ancient Greece are also on view. During the panoramic portion of the tour, we’ll see the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Gate.

DAY 4              B,D

Today we begin our island-hopping adventure. We take a high-speed ferry to Mykonos over the Aegean Sea. Often called the “Jewel of the Aegean”, it has well-preserved windmills, red-roofed churches and whitewashed buildings agleam in the sun.  We’ll enjoy a tour of highlights of the island, the traditional village of Ano Mera with its typical village square surrounded by small Greek tavernas. We’ll wander through the meandering narrow streets with our local guide, then check into our hotel. The afternoon is our own to explore, before we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 5              B

We have a full day on our own to relax and absorb the feel of the island. We can browse the boutiques, visit the beach, or people-watch at a sidewalk café.

DAY 6              B,D

We say goodbye Mykonos and take another high-speed ferry to Santorini, the most breath-taking of all the Greek Islands. Known as the “Black Pearl of the Aegean”, history and nature combine here to make it one of the most unforgettable places in the world.  Upson arrival, we’ll begin discovering this paradise on a tour, including a visit to Oia, with its iconic whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, and winding lanes. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant.

DAY 7              B

Today is free to enjoy all Santorini offers. Visit a museum, a taverna, the beach. Wherever you go, you’ll see blue sky, blue water, and blue domes.

DAY 8              B,D

The high-speed ferry takes us back to Athens for our last day. Tonight, we enjoy a farewell dinner together.

DAY 9              B

Having explored the ancient ruins of Athens and visited the beautiful Greek Islands, we return home to Albuquerque. Our vacation comes to an end, but our memories will last forever.

Itinerary subject to change.
