Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas, is known for its restored 19th and 20th century buildings along Main Street and its many friendly faces. It's home to artisans' workshops, including a glassblowing studio, a tinsmith and a blacksmith. The Gaylord Texan Resort is built around a gorgeous atrium filled with plants and water features and its holiday decorations and exhibits are world renowned.  Add a concert from the Texas Tenors and we'll be kicking off the Christmas season in style!

Included meals are denoted: Breakfast: B, Lunch: L, Dinner: D

DAY 1              L

We fly to DFW and board out deluxe motorcoach for the very short drive to Grapevine.  At Harvest Hall, we enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants, then enjoy a view of the surrounding countryside from the top of the Grapevine Observation Tower. We explore the Christmas Village, visiting the many crafts booths and exhibits. We check into our home for 3 nights, the stunning Gaylord Texan Resort.

DAY 2              D

We start our day with a Behind the Scenes experience at Sea Life Aquarium, learning how the aquatic animals and fishes are managed and kept healthy in their homes far from the oceans. Many, if not all, the sea life here has been rescued after injury by collisions with boats.  After lunch, we enjoy a concert by the Texas Tenors, the most successful group of winners from America's Got Talent. After a night-time stroll to enjoy the magical Christmas lights on Main Street, we enjoy dinner together.

DAY 3

Today we drive to Dallas for a city tour, including the Old Red Courthouse, JFK assassination site, Thanks-Giving Square, and the beautiful homes along Highland Park.  At the Dallas Arboretum, the spectacular 12 Days of Christmas Gardens display is waiting for us, full of sparkle and enchantment. This evening we are on our own, perhaps taking the free shuttle into Grapevine or viewing the ICE exhibit at the Gaylord.

DAY 4              L

It is time to think about our return to Albuquerque, so we board our plane for the short ride home, filled with memories of a captivating start to our holiday season.
