This afternoon we arrive to Portland International Jetport where we’ll be met by our Tour Director and deluxe motorcoach and transfer to the Hilton Garden Inn for our stay for this evening.
Day 2 B,D
After breakfast, we’ll check out of the hotel and journey to Campobello Island, the summer home of former President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Enjoy time to stroll through the beautifully maintained buildings and grounds. We continue on to Saint John for a guided tour of the city, including views of the Reversing falls. This phenomenon occurs when the high tides of the Bay of Fundy meet and overpower the Saint John River and force the river to reverse and flow back upstream. Later this afternoon, we’ll check into the Hampton Inn in Saint John for our 1-night stay. Tonight, we enjoy a savory dinner at one of the city’s fine restaurants.
Day 3 B,D
Following breakfast, we’ll check out of our hotel and travel to scenic Prince Edward Island. En route, we’ll visit Fundy National Park for a visit to the Hopewell Rocks. At high tide these rocks appear to be common islands. At low tide, we can view these impressive mushroom-shaped, flower-pot rocks that the relentless tides have carved out of the sandstone. After we cross the Confederation Bridge, arriving into Charlottetown and Canada’s birthplace! Later, we’ll check into the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel for a relaxing two-night stay. Take some time to relax and freshen up before we enjoy a planned dinner together.
Day 4 B.D
Following breakfast, we’ll be met by our local tour guide for a full day’s tour of this picture-perfect Island. We begin with a guided tour of Charlottetown along with a visit to The Story of Confederation; an accurate replica of the Province House site where Canada was born. We tour along the North Shore through “Anne’s Land” and PEI National Park, viewing the beautiful red sandy beaches and pastoral countryside. We’ll enjoy visits to the famous PEI Preserve Company and the L.M. Montgomery’s Cavendish National Historic Site/Green Gables Heritage Place, which commemorates the house and landscape that inspired renowned Canadian author L. M. Montgomery’s famous novel – Anne of Green Gables. This evening, enjoy dinner followed by a delightful performance at The Confederation Centre of the Arts.
Day 5 B,D
This morning, enjoy breakfast before we board the Northumberland Ferry to sail across the Northumberland Straights to Nova Scotia. Once we arrive into Pictou, continue to Cape Breton Island and the village of Baddeck. This afternoon we enjoy a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. This museum houses the largest collection of photographs, artifacts and personal effects to the inventor of the telephone. This afternoon, we’ll check into Auberge Gisele’s Inn for a relaxing two-night stay. Take some time to enjoy the resort and surroundings before enjoying a delicious dinner.
Day 6 B,L,D
After breakfast, we’ll meet our local tour guide and spend the day touring along the world-famous Cabot Trail – a coastal highway described as one of the most spectacular drives in North America! In addition to a picnic lunch along the trail, enjoy stops in Cheticamp, a busy Acadian fishing village; Ingonish, a popular resort town; and St. Ann’s, home of the Gaelic College of the Celtic Arts and Crafts and only one of its kind in North America. Tonight, enjoy another delicious dinner at our resort.
Day 7 B,D
Following breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and depart for Halifax, Nova Scotia. This afternoon, we’ll check into the Hampton Inn, Halifax for our two-night stay, and take some time to freshen up before boarding for a scenic dinner cruise around Halifax Harbor; the second largest natural harbor in the world second to Sydney, Australia.
Day 8 B,D
Following breakfast, we’ll depart for a full day of touring, beginning with a visit to Peggy’s Cove. This village is quite well known to many artists for its picturesque ocean setting. We visit Peggy’s Cove Light – the only light of its kind that used to double as the Peggy’s Cove post office before returning to Halifax a guided city tour. We visit the Fairview Lawn Cemetery, where those who died in the Titanic are buried, Halifax Public Gardens, and the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. This star shaped fortification was completed in 1856 and stands on a hill overlooking downtown. Tonight, enjoy another planned dinner at one of the city’s wonderful restaurants.
Day 9 B,D
This morning we depart for touring along the Evangeline Trail, named after the famous heroine of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s epic poem, “Evangeline”. Along the trail, we’ll visit Grand Pre National Historic Site. These 14 acres of landscaped grounds were established in memory for all the Acadians, Nova Scotia’s first French settlers, who were deported to British Settlements throughout the North America. View Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s statue depicting the fictional heroine in his epic poem “Evangeline.” Along the trail we’ll also enjoy free time for lunch in the quaint village of Annapolis Royal. This afternoon, we arrive at the Rodd Grand Hotel in Yarmouth and check-in for the evening. Tonight we gather for another dinner.
Day 10 B,D

We continue on through Rockport, Rockland and Freeport, home to the world famous LL Bean Store. This afternoon, we arrive in Portland for a tour of Maine’s largest city, described as ‘the beautiful town that is seated by the sea’ by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The Old Port Exchange on the thriving waterfront was the heart of Portland’s busy 19th century commercial ventures and continues to be the center of activity today. We enjoy some free time to explore the Old Port before checking into the Hilton Garden Inn for the evening. We enjoy a finale dinner this evening.
