Join our Sun Tours group on this fascinating British Isles cruise. This itinerary combines the luxury of the Celebrity Eclipse®, with the fascinating history of Scotland, Ireland, and England. A highlight of this cruise is our overnight in Edinburgh, where you will have the opportunity to join us and see a performance of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. “Tattoo” is the term used for the traditional signal used to call British soldiers to return to their quarters. Over time, the custom evolved to become one of the world’s most spectacular visual and musical celebrations.

Included meals are denoted: Breakfast: B, Lunch: L, Dinner: D

Day 1

Today, we gather at the Albuquerque Sunport for our overnight flights to Amsterdam, and the start of our exciting British Isles cruise.

Day 2               D

We arrive in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, and transfer to the beautiful Celebrity Eclipse®.

Day 3               B,L,D

This day is yours to do as much or as little as you like. Take a Celebrity iLearn class and bring your vacation photos to life. Catch some sun at the pool where butlers keep you refreshed with chilled towels and sorbets. Schedule a stone massage at the Canyon Ranch SpaClub®. Join a yoga class in the fitness center with floor-to-ceiling views of the sea. Take a food-and-wine-pairing workshop to step up your culinary game.

Day 4               B,L,D

Inverness is the Scottish Highland’s’ major city. Literally it means "mouth of the River Ness," and this is the 'urban' hub for international visitors who come hoping to catch a glimpse of the famous—yet elusive—Loch Ness Monster. While you are here, be sure to take a cruise down the Loch and a stroll along the riverbank to not only take in this picturesque spot but work up an appetite for dinner in one of the city’s excellent restaurants.

Day 5               B,L,D

We overnight in Edinburgh, home of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo! An unforgettable time awaits us as we watch performers from over 48 countries in an evening of music, ceremony, theater, and dance! The international flavor of the Tattoo has been developed as a key element in its capacity to entertain a huge audience.

Day 6               B,L,D

Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, is often billed as one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. Set against rocky hills and cliffs that overlook the sea, “The Athens of the North,” blends medieval relics—most notably, Edinburgh Castle—with beautiful Georgian architecture all while embracing the modernity of today, which is probably why UNESCO named it as a World Heritage Site in 1995, and it became the first UNESCO Creative City when it was designated as a City of Literature in 2004. You may want to pay a visit to the heart of Edinburgh, the famous Royal Mile. There is plenty to explore on this historic, cultural route through the city.  Multitudes of one-of-a-kind shops offer a variety of goods from shortbread to tartans.  Sample the local cuisine or sip a highland whisky.  While exploring Edinburgh’s Old Town, you could stop in at Holyrood Palace to see the historic apartments of Mary, Queen of Scots.  This Palace is still used as the official residence of the Queen when she visits Scotland.  Edinburgh has a romantic and violent history, due to its strategic location as a gateway to the north with access to the south.

Day 7               B,L,D

Travel by sea takes you far from the everyday. Cruise vacations allow you to see many places, yet unpack only once. Someone caters to your every whim. And you can do as much or as little as you like. Life on land suddenly seems boring.

Day 8               B,L,D

Belfast has undergone an enormous transformation in recent years and thanks to a focus on expansion and regeneration, the city is now experiencing a tourism renaissance. Today, free from the mayhem that once was, this major Northern Ireland city has done a terrific job in both disassociating from her past and creating a thriving positive public perception. With new cultural quarters—the Cathedral Quarter, the Gaeltacht Quarter, the Queen’s Quarter and the Titanic Quarter—the former linen and shipbuilding epicenter is a flourishing community that blends industry with culture. Here, where the Titanic was so carefully built, you can see beautifully restored Victorian architecture, indulge retail therapy at a fabulous shopping center, and enjoy the quintessentially Irish experience at the lively waterfront, which is a friendly hub of live music, overflowing pubs and modern art.

Day 9               B,L,D

The city that gave us the Beatles, Liverpool has moved from its industrial roots to become one of Britain’s most dynamic and vibrant cultural centers.

Day 10             B,L,D

Dublin is thought to be almost a thousand years old, but the city has transitioned well into the 21st century. Easily navigated by foot, the city’s 44 square miles and cobblestoned streets speak to its storied history of patriots and writers, the latter of which includes, Joyce, Yeats, Wilde, and Beckett. Must-sees include Trinity College, St. Stephen’s Green Park, Newgrange, Dublin Castle, the National Museum of Ireland and the James Joyce Cultural Centre. However, no visit to Dublin would be complete without a pint (or two) of Guinness and an afternoon-into-evening spent in one of the city’s many pubs.

Day 11             B,L,D

Navigate Cork's hilly streets and discover the melody of Ireland's most talkative citizenry, who have a way of making conversation. Visit local artisans and witness their skills in the arts of weaving and cutting crystal.

Day 12             B,L,D

Saint Peter Port is 24 square miles unspoiled British Isle. Overlooking a picturesque harbor the view is truly inspiring. Stroll along cliffside paths and through the rustic interior. The breathtaking scenery and peaceful ambiance make this a vacationer’s paradise.

Day 13             B,L,D

Experience the pools, spas and more onboard your ship.

Day 14             B

Conclude your journey with many lasting memories as you head for home.
