Nowhere is there a celebration of the Fourth of July like there is in Boston, the city where the American Revolution started. We’ll explore Boston’s historical sites, enjoy a concert by the Boston Pops, then enjoy a visit to the beautiful coastline of Massachusetts with visits to Provincetown, Hyannis, and Martha’s Vineyard. The cool breezes and fascinating history of New England are waiting!

Included meals are denoted: B, breakfast, L, lunch, D, dinner
DAY 1 D
We leave Albuquerque on our flight to Boston where we meet our deluxe motorcoach and transfer to our hotel.
DAY 2 B,D
Today we begin to explore Boston. There are so many fascinating stories! We learn about the different districts of the city including Back Bay where we find beautiful, unique brownstones, Beacon Hill and the gold domed state house, Boston Common, America’s first public park, and the Public Garden.
We lunch at QUINCY MARKET. For over 250 years the marketplace has played an integral role in the life of Boston’s residents. We take time to rest and freshen up at our hotel before heading to the ESPLANADE for the BOSTON POPS 3RD OF JULY REHEARSAL CONCERT. This is the BEST way to actually see the Boston Pops. There are only about 30,000 people in attendance on this night versus upwards of 750,000 on the night of the 4th.

DAY 3 B,L,D
This morning we board the Spirit of Boston Harbor Cruise ship for a view of Boston from the harbor, and a delicious lunch. We follow the USS Constitution aka “Old Ironsides” as she sets sail from her dock at the Charlestown Navy Yard for her once-a-year turn-around, in order to weather evenly on both sides. After our cruise we visit the JFK Library and Museum for an uplifting review of President Kennedy’s life, leadership and legacy.

DAY 4 B,D
This morning we visit the Charlestown Navy Yard to see the USS Constitution Old Ironsides. The USS Constitution was launched in Boston on October 21, 1797 and is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world. We then depart Boston and drive to Plymouth and the Plimoth Patuxet Museum where we tour and then enjoy a Thanksgiving Homestyle Buffet dinner. We check into the Red Jacket Beach Resort for 3 nights.

DAY 5 B,D
We begin our exploration of Cape Cod today, with visits to the Salt Pond Visitors Center and Provincetown. We continue to Hyannis for a tour. We enjoy dinner together before returning to our hotel.
DAY 6 B,D
We start the day with guided whale watching or Dune Tour on Martha’s Vineyard. Here we also enjoy lunch and shopping on our own. Upon our return to Woods Hole, we’ll have a tour of Oak Bluffs and the Cottages before returning to the Red Jacket for one more night. Lobster dinner tonight!
DAY 7 B
We must turn our thoughts toward home, so we board our flights back to the Land of Enchantment, filled with memories of the history of our country and the beautiful seaside of Cape Cod.
