Our journey takes us to two of the most beautiful national parks: Carlsbad Caverns and Big Bend National Park. We’ll make our way through the Big Room at Carlsbad Caverns and enjoy a full-day guided tour of Big Bend. The night skies will be seen by all when we visit the McDonald Observatory for a star party and tour. A stop in Marfa for art galleries and shopping will complete our trip.

DAY 1 D
Our motor coach departs for our journey south. We travel through Las Cruces, then on to the El Paso Museum of History. We enjoy a visit to the Magoffin Home, where we explore the history of Joseph Magoffin, one of the first advocates for development of El Paso then enjoy dinner together. One night's lodging in El Paso.
DAY 2 B, D
Our adventure continues as we arrive at the Museum of the Big Bend where we learn about the distinctive natural history, human history, and confluence of cultures before the arrival of the Europeans. We travel on to Big Bend National Park where we check into our hotel, Chisos Mountains Lodge for 2 nights. Be forewarned, though, there is no cell phone or TV service here, only pure rest and relaxation for us all!
DAY 3 B
We meet our step-on guide in the morning for a full day exploring the scenery of majestic Big Bend National Park. Wildlife, birds, rivers, limestone carved canyons, mountains, and even a view of the Texas-Mexico border, await us during our day. We are treated to a field lunch by our guide before we continue through the vastness of the park.
DAY 4 B
We check out of our hotel and travel to Marfa, TX. This unusual town is filled with art galleries and surrounded by peaceful desert and beautiful Texas mountains. This evening, we'll visit the McDonald Observatory for a star party.
DAY 5 B
Today we head west, back towards the Land of Enchantment, but not without a few stops along the way. First is the West of the Pecos Museum. The we enjoy a visit to Carlsbad Caverns and its amazing Big Room. We lodge in Carlsbad for one night.
DAY 6 B
Our tour concludes as we head towards Albuquerque. Visits to the Roswell Museum and Arts Center and the UFO Museum fill our day as we say goodbye with many memories of relaxation and fun.
