At the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad depot in Antonito, we board America’s longest and highest narrow-gauge steam railroad. The train climbs steadily into the San Juan mountain range to the 10,015 foot-high Cumbres Pass. Having seen the best of the route, we disembark and board the waiting motorcoach.
