to Sign Up for a Tour
1) Decide which tour (or tours) you would like to sign up for.
2) Call SUN TOURS at (505) 889-8888 or (800) 666-6786 to check availability.
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first served basis. Our tours often
sell out quickly! If the tour is filled, we will put you on the waiting list and
will call you when space opens up.
3) If space is available, fill out a reservation form (see below) and mail it
(or bring it) to our office with a check for the deposit. We will hold a phone
reservation for seven days (unless it’s after the final payment due date), until
your payment arrives. Payment on tours may not be made by credit card.
4) If signing up for a cruise, call one of our cruise counselors, to review
cabin categories, bed configuration, dining options, etc. Payment on cruises may
be made by credit card.
After Signing Up for a Tour
1) We will mail (or give) you an invoice acknowledging your deposit. The invoice
will also advise you of the amount and due date of the final payment. Final
payment dates are also shown in the tour description. We will not send a notice
that final payment is due.
2) Approximately four weeks before a tour, you will receive a letter with the
following information: departure time and place, flight schedule (if we fly to
our destination), average temperatures, clothing suggestions, and the hotel
names and phone numbers. You will also receive your baggage tag and any other
pertinent information.
3) For a cruise or overseas tour, we arrange for a pre-tour briefing about two
weeks prior to departure. We pass out documents, answer questions, and review
topics such as currency exchange, clothing, customs, weather, etc.
4) If an overseas tour or cruise requires visas, we will contact you
approximately three months prior to departure, with forms and instructions on
how to fill out the forms.
