"I Need A Roommate" Policy
Some of our clients who want to go on a
particular tour can’t find a friend who also
wants to go. SUN TOURS will try to find a
roommate for those who want the companionship
and/or cost savings of traveling double
occupancy.
Often we can find roommates for everyone, but
not always. If we cannot find a roommate for
you, you will be subject to paying the single
rate, if you still wish to take the tour.
In most cases, the two people get along well,
but sometimes there is friction. This is a
chance you take by signing up in the “I Need A
Roommate” category. We cannot guarantee
compatibility. If you are unwilling to take this
chance, you might be well served by paying the
Single Supplement and having a room all to
yourself.
If you sign up in the "I Need A Roommate"
category, you can still try to find your own
roommate. We can usually accommodate them,
unless the tour is completely sold out, or it is
too close to the departure date.
If the assigned roommate cancels the tour prior
to departure, you will be responsible for paying
the Single Supplement, if you decide to go, or
be subject to the cancellation fee, if you
decide to cancel. For this reason, we strongly
recommend that both roommates take out Trip
Cancellation Insurance. If your assigned
roommate cancels for reasons covered by the
insurance policy, the insurance company will
reimburse you for the Single Supplement or for
your cancellation fee, whichever applies.
